Sand
River and quarry sand, washed — for concrete, mortars and plaster.
The shoreline of the Ghidighici reservoir is a short walk away, and on Vatra's quiet small-town streets someone is always pouring a foundation, setting fence posts or renovating an old house. When your site is ready for the mix, DARSAN delivers ready-mixed concrete with its own mixer trucks, and the system picks the nearest plant automatically. You see the transport price right on the map, ordering takes seconds, and the same fleet brings sand, gravel and crushed stone.
For our mixer drivers, the run to Vatra is one of the shortest on the daily schedule — a quick hop rather than a haul. In numbers: roughly 0.1 km from the nearest plant, with transport starting at 1500 lei per trip. Your budget isn't the only winner; the concrete benefits too, arriving on site with its full working window intact and none of the freshness lost to a long road. For the exact figure at your address, drag the pin on the map in the calculator below and the transport cost shows up before you even pick up the phone.
We deliver throughout the town of Vatra: the centre, the private-house streets and the summer-house plots towards the reservoir. Small-town streets can be narrow and some yards won't take a loaded mixer, so describe the access when you order. If the truck can't park next to the formwork, we come with a concrete pump on request and place the mix at a distance or over the fence, with no risky manoeuvring around the yard and no wheelbarrow runs.
A mixer truck carries up to 8 m³ of concrete per trip. For bigger volumes — a full slab or a house foundation — we line up several trips one after another, and the delivery cost multiplies by the number of trucks. Thanks to the short distance from Chișinău, most Vatra orders are delivered the same day they are placed. We confirm the time and the number of trips in advance, so the pour runs without gaps and your crew never stands idle between trucks.
Most orders from Vatra come from the private sector: house foundations, summer houses and plot works near the reservoir. For foundations and load-bearing slabs the usual choice is M250 (C16/20) or M300 (C20/25) — strength enough for a family house. Floors, platforms, paths and the apron around the house need only M200 (C12/15), while levelling layers and blinding take M150 (C8/10). For suspended floors, columns and beams, go for M350 (C25/30). Not sure which grade fits? Describe the job over the phone and we'll name it straight away.
Plots and summer houses near the water often need more than concrete: sand for mortars and paving beds, gravel and crushed stone for drainage, fence foundations and access roads. We bring all of it to Vatra with the same fleet — washed river and quarry sand plus aggregates in various fractions — so a single order covers the whole site's materials. If you're unsure about quantities, tell us the area and the layer depth and we'll work it out together.
The season matters as much as the grade. In summer we schedule trips for the morning so the mix doesn't lose water on the road or during the pour; in spring and autumn we allow for rain and soft ground on the plots near the reservoir, and in winter we recommend mixes and admixtures suited to low temperatures. Every delivery comes with a quality certificate for the ordered grade. From a new house foundation to a summer-house path, in Vatra you pour verified concrete, delivered on time.
Vatra sits right next to Chișinău, so transport is cheap — from 1500 lei per mixer-truck trip, about 0.1 km from the nearest plant. The final figure depends on address and volume and is calculated instantly on the map; the concrete itself is priced separately per m³.
Usually the same day: the distance is short and the system automatically picks the nearest plant, so the mix arrives fresh. Call in the morning and in most cases you'll be pouring by evening.
